Because they're proof of the high sourcing standards and better animal welfare that we prioritize, resulting in happier animals, healthier soil, cleaner air and water, and ultimately, a better product for you.

No antibiotics or added hormones ever: When animals are confined or overcrowded in one area, diseases spread more quickly. Antibiotics are then used to keep the animals healthy, but at the detriment to the consumer. Added hormones are used to make animals gain weight quickly, which is not good for the animals or the consumer. Neither will ever be in our products.
Carbon neutral shipping: The amount of carbon emitted into the atmosphere from transporting your ButcherBox from our fulfillment centers to your doorstep is equal to the amount of carbon ButcherBox has helped to absorb back into the earth and out of the atmosphere. To achieve carbon neutral shipping, we purchased agriculture carbon offsets which help support farmers in the US to build better soil health on their farms.
B Corp™ certified: A certified B Corporation is a for-profit organization that must pass a rigorous assessment conducted by the non-profit, B Lab, which evaluates social and environmental performance.
