Our commitment to animals and farmers

We're calling on Congress to oppose the EATS Act

We believe in a better food system

ButcherBox is committed to prioritizing animal welfare, supporting farmers, and treating our planet with respect —and the Ending Agricultural Trade Suppression (EATS) Act is a direct challenge to that.

If passed, the EATS Act would:

1. Counter the American public’s demand for animal products made with higher production standards

2. Reverse major progress and investments made by farmers to prioritize animal welfare

3. Undermine a states’ ability to pass laws related to food safety, disease and pest control, and other public health and welfare matters

We’re strongly urging Congress to oppose inclusion of the EATS Act and any of its iterations in the upcoming Farm Bill.
